I frequently have clients ask us how to get their dogs to stop destroying things in their home.

I frequently have clients ask us how to get their dogs to stop destroying things in their home. Although there isn't just one solution to fix everything, our expert dog trainers have several ways of helping with this issue.

The main reasons why dogs become destructive are:

Your dog is bored! Dogs need EXERCISE. Remember, a tired dog is a happy dog. Your dog not only needs to be physically exercised, but mentally exercised as well. Training your dog, walking your dog, and taking dog training classes are great ways to tire your dog out mentally. This is a great way to exercise and socialize your dog at our indoor air conditioned dog training facility.
Your dog needs to be taught what is good and acceptable behavior in the house and what is not. With proper training, your dog will learn how to relax and settle down in your house as well as what is OK to chew on and what is not. We offer many private packages to help you and your dog with your specific behavior concerns.

Your dog needs acceptable things to chew on! Denta-Sticks is a good option as its easily available and is a fantastic way to keep your dog busy and help them enjoy their time inside of their crate.

Dogs are working animals, they were bred with a job to complete. Huskies were bred to pull sleds, Labs were bred to retrieve fowl, Border Collies were bred to herd sheep! When your dog doesn't have a job to do, they become bored and decide to find their own job. It’s YOUR job as a doggie parent to give your dog his own job. Something as simple as playing a game of fetch, or for some dogs taking an agility class, will suffice. We are here to help you give your dog a job and to curb those destructive behaviors.
